Jeremy Schneider

Jeremy Schneider is the Associate Rabbi at Temple Shalom, a Reform congregation in Dallas, Texas. He is a native Texan, attended the University of Texas in Austin, and earned Masters’ Degrees in Hebrew Letters and Jewish Education from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR).

In 2008, Rabbi Schneider was chosen as one of six Americans for an interfaith study tour in Egypt and Syria sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. In 2009, Rabbi Schneider was given the “Citizen Diplomat – Peace Quilt Award” from the National Peace Foundation in Washington, D.C. for his grassroots work in durable peace building. His article on Jewish-Muslim dialogue was recently published in Reflections and Experiences of Religion and Society.

In 2010, Rabbi Schneider was a keynote speaker at the 47th Annual Islamic Society of North America’s Convention in Chicago and Saint Michael’s College in Vermont.  Rabbi Schneider is considered a national leader in Jewish-Muslim dialogue and is leading a renewed movement for open multifaith dialogue in the Dallas Metroplex.

Rabbi Schneider lives in Plano with his wife, Rachel, and their two sons Ezra and Micah.
